A few words about “ARAKLIA” (Araklia is called Iraklia by the locals)…
to believe in your dreams, to hope and this faith and hope will help you to realize them. After 26 years of wandering in the kitchens mainly of Athens and the Cyclades, I managed in the summer of 2019 to open my own restaurant utilizing my Father’s house.
I kept the basic layout, I used its furniture for decoration but most of all I struggled to keep its clean energy, the positive aura of welcome that it always had as a home.
At the top of the hill between the port (Agios Georgios) and the main beach of the island (Livadi) just a few minutes from both, overlooking the Microcycladic Polynesia of Schinoussa, Keros, Koufonisi and Amorgos, a clean space, functional , with access for the disabled, with environmental awareness, energy friendly and culinary oriented to the cuisine of the Aegean.
